1. Music

One way to get a better night’s rest is to listen to some music before bedtime. Although classical music is one of the most calming and soothing, the music genre choice is totally up to you. The key is to choose something that will relax and wind you down vs something that will pump you up and get you feeling like you want to dance and party.

2. Stretch

Stretching or doing some yoga before you go to bed is another way to relax. You want to make sure that whether you choose to stretch or do yoga it does not get you sweating. Do gentle movements because this will help aid sleep.

3. CBD

With CBD becoming legal it has become pretty popular when it comes to relaxation. You can try CBD for sleep to see if you too feel the difference when you go to bed. You can discover more about the benefits of CBD to help you make an informed decision.

4. Aromatherapy

As part of your bedtime ritual, you can add several aromatherapy scents that can help you relax. For example, lavender, chamomile,  and clary sage are great aromas to incorporate into your bedtime ritual. Lavender is one of the most popular used in aromatherapy because it helps calm anxiety and lower blood pressure.

5. Bath

Taking a warm bath before bed can also help you sleep better. If a bath is not possible you can take a warm shower instead. When we immerse our body in hot water it helps relax our muscles naturally.

You can also opt to add relaxing scents in your bath such as sandalwood or lavender. Make sure you avoid stimulating smells such as citrus scents or anything that is sugary or sweet-smelling.

6. Meditate

Meditating is a perfect way to stop our thoughts from racing in our heads. Doing this will help you focus on the present moment and will help slow down your breathing rhythm. For those that are not familiar with meditation, you might want to first try a guided meditation to help you ease into this relaxation method.
